01 — Positioning

Why Airplant Exists

Climate-control projects usually pass through four or five separate contractors — a duct installer, an electrician, a controls specialist, a pipefitter — each handing off to the next, each disclaiming the others' work.

Airplant exists to close that gap: one division, one point of accountability, across the entire mechanical, electrical, and controls scope of a climate system. The same technicians who install a system are the ones who commission it, service it, and answer the call when something goes wrong.

We're a Specialised Operating Division of Besbpo Group, a South African conglomerate spanning Built Environment, Real Estate, BPO, Logistics, Consultancy, and Security — which means Airplant draws on the same regulatory discipline, engineering rigour, and delivery standards already proven across the Group's other divisions.

Positioning Statement

Airplant designs, installs, and maintains complete climate systems — ducting, electrical, controls, and pipework — as one accountable scope of work.

03 — Scope of Work

Every Discipline, One Reference

This portfolio maps everything Airplant runs directly — no sub-contracted disciplines, no handoffs between separate companies. Fifteen categories, organised in the order a real project moves through them: design, build, prove, and maintain. Tap any category to see the full service list.

Where every project starts — sizing the problem correctly before a single duct is cut.
  • HVAC feasibility studies & site surveys
  • Heat load / cooling load calculations (CLTD & RTS methods)

04 — Compliance

Every Category Traces to a Real Standard

Eleven regulatory categories sit behind this portfolio — cross-referenced directly to the services above, not a generic compliance statement. South Africa doesn't yet have its own dedicated SANS standard for isolation-room pressurisation; where that's true, we say so directly rather than citing a standard that doesn't exist.

SANS 10147
Refrigerating & AC plant safety code
SAQCC Gas A/B/C
Every technician's refrigerant registration
Pressure Equipment Regs
OHS Act — refrigerant plant is pressure equipment
Montreal & Kigali
